Kids Count (Kinderen in Tel) measures the social situation of youth per province and municipality by means of twelve indicators and makes a ranking list. The indicators are based on the International Convention on the Rights of the Child. Defence for Children International was responsible for the campaign Kids Count in 2006, 2007 and 2008. There was much attention for Kids Count on television, radio and in news papers. The lobby was successful as the Minister for Youth and Family used data of Kids Count in his first public presentation.
